NSW: Two dead, family injured in south coast car accident
Two people have been killed and a family of five injured in a head-on crash on the
New South Wales south coast.
Police say two people in one of the cars were trapped inside the wreckage and died
at the scene on the Princes Highway at Bewong, 25km south of Nowra.
A mother and her four children in the other car all suffered minor injuries.
There were also several pets in their car at the time of the accident early this afternoon.
An ambulance spokesman says the four children, two boys aged five and 12, and two girls
aged eight and 14, were taken with their mother to Shoalhaven Hospital with minor injuries.
Police say the highway has been closed at the scene of the accident and traffic diversions
are in place.
